As the new academic year approaches, Project H.A.N.D.A. gathered volunteers from all grade levels to prepare classrooms and improve school facilities. The target was 120 volunteers, but the number exceeded expectations. Held from June 16 to 19, 2026, this four-day activity showcased service, teamwork, and school pride as students worked to build a better learning environment.
Working together in assigned teams, volunteers helped prepare the school for the upcoming academic year by cleaning classrooms, organizing learning materials, preparing bulletin boards, and improving school facilities. Their teamwork and initiative were evident throughout the activity, as they adapted to safety measures, appreciated the support of teachers, and even extended assistance beyond their assigned tasks, embodying the spirit of service and cooperation within the BTTHS community.
“Project H.A.N.D.A. was successful, not just from the recognition and the accomplished feeling, but because of the hands that exerted effort and served BTTHS through their stewardship and teamwork. Without their dedication, this project would not have been successful. It was not merely about cleaning, but also about building connections and strengthening our community,” shared Nhoreen Francisco, Student Council Organizationโs (SCO) Cabinet Secretary of the Department of Advocacy and Community Involvement (DACI).
More than just a preparation activity, Project H.A.N.D.A. served as an opportunity for students to develop responsibility, teamwork, and a deeper appreciation for community involvement. Every cleaned classroom, arranged chair, organized bookshelf, and completed bulletin board became a testament to the dedication of the volunteers and their commitment to serving the school.
The success of the initiative would not have been possible without the efforts of SCO DACI, which spearheaded and organized the activity. Through Project H.A.N.D.A., this provided students with a meaningful avenue to contribute to the school community while fostering a culture of volunteerism, collaboration, and service.
