Bacolod Tay Tung High School (BTTHS) proudly joined the grand opening of the 45th season of the Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports, Cultural and Educational Association (NOPSSCEA) held at VMA Global College on September 4.
The opening ceremony began with the traditional march of school principals, followed by the raising of the NOPSSCEA flag and an inspiring message from Bacolod City Mayor Greg Gasataya, followed by the lighting of the torch, a symbol of unity, passion, and sportsmanship, which marked the official start of the season.
Moreover, BTTHS athletes, together with school administrators, actively participated in the event. Adding to the excitement, BTTHSโ very own Open Category Hiphop champions from last season returned to the stage to perform their award-winning routine, showcasing their skill and energy once again. Other champion schools also took part in performances, bringing forth a vibrant display of talent that embodied the true spirit and essence of NOPSSCEA.
The program concluded with a meaningful reminder from Dr. Evie Emelda S. Gallespen, Riverside College Inc. Vice President of NOPSSCEA, who in her closing remarks shared a message for the athletes who
will be participating this year.
โPray before you play, pray during you play, and pray after you play,โ Dr. Gallespen stated.
With this inspiring start, NOPSSCEA Season 45 promises to be a celebration of sportsmanship, culture, and camaraderie among Negros private schools.
