Brimming with creativity and compassion, the Peace Poster Making Contest of the Mt. Kanlaon Lions Club turned imagination into a movement for unity on September 12, 2025. Held in collaboration with Lions Club International, the event centered on the theme โ€œTogether as One,โ€ inspiring young artists to express their visions of a harmonious world through art.
From vivid brushstrokes to powerful symbolism, the contest showcased the voices of a generation eager to make a difference. Julengail Patricia A. Adorio emerged as the first-place winner, captivating the judges with her exceptional skill and heartfelt message. Denny Loreyn P. Tolosa claimed second place, while Ralyks L. Gimena secured third, each proving that creativity can be a force for peace.
More than a contest, the event reflected the Lionโ€™s club enduring mission to promote peace and understanding through youth engagement. By providing a platform for young visionaries, it sparked meaningful conversations about empathy and collective responsibility.
As the winning posters toured schools and community centers, they became symbols of hope to remind everyone that art transcends barriers and unites hearts. The Mt. Kanlaon Lions Clubโ€™s initiative stands as a testament to the power of creativity in building bridges, one brushstroke at a time.
