It is finally the season of love and giving! The spirit of Christmas is about being together, thinking about others, and becoming a better version of yourself—a feeling of joy, generosity, and goodwill toward others. Filipinos have become known for their optimism and resilience in the face of adversity. With our never-ending optimism, even without money, we still strive and celebrate Christmas for as long as we are together.
As Christmas Day draws near, the spirit of giving shines brightly, and what better way to embrace the festive season than by spreading joy to others. This holiday season, Bacolod Tay Tung High School (BTTHS) in collaboration with Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports Cultural Educational Association (NOPSSCEA), held a Christmas Outreach Program ‘Project AMLIG’, a heartwarming activity wherein schools grant the Christmas wishes of Special Education (SPED) students.
The activity was celebrated at the SPED Center Bacolod, where the students filled the gymnasium with enthusiastic energy, entertaining everyone with a series of performances, from lively dances to soulful singing. The volunteers willingly joined in the fun, dancing and singing along with the students.
After the entertaining performances, the main event which is the gift-giving portion took the center stage. Surrounded by the presents they wished for, SPED students walked through a “Present Wonderland.” They ended the day with smiles and hearts filled.
