
Bacolod Tay Tung High School has officially commenced its 88th founding anniversary celebration yesterday, September 16, hosted by the Student Development Office, MAPEH Department, and Student Council Organization.The celebration started with the parade of alumni batch 1997 followed by the students from grades 7-12 wearing their respective batch colors.BOT Executive President, Mr. Dy Kian Kun delivered his opening remarks and welcomed the guests and students.Students from various clubs also showcased their talents and skills during the opening ceremony with performances from dance synergy, Camille Garingalao, Shania Guzman, Alexa Columna, and Tay Tung Pluma.Mrs. Maureen Mejica, SDO Head, declared the opening of the school’s founding anniversary and acknowledged distinguished guests who were present during the event.Armonia, in collaboration with the Tay Tung Voices, performed this year’s founding anniversary theme song, “On My Way”.The ceremony was then followed by the opening of this year’s intramurals headed by Mrs. Pearl Marie Oh, MAPEH Department Head.For 88 years of service and great harmony, the Taytungian spirit is still imprinted on each of its students, teachers, staff, and the whole school administration.Despite the challenging two years of online education, the school administration and the community remained resilient and are now ready to face the new era of education.The opening ceremony was hosted by Aia Dominique Jalea and Chance Angelo Tan.
