Last May 27, 28 and 29, 2009. the faculty and staff of Bacolod lay Tung High School attended a school-sponsored seminar entitled "A Fresh Start Group Dynamics and Team Building" in the Kindergarten Auditorium. It was a three-day activity which had its culmination in Mambucal Mountain Resort.

Mr. Rodel Parcon, a professor from Colegio San Agustin - Bacolod, gave a talk about the Whole Brain learning & Thinking and Multiple Intelligences. Both the teachers and staff enjoyed the activities he prepared! on day one. Everybody in the room had actively participated in the workshop which helped each one rediscover his/her personality type.

The second day was spent working on the realigning of the school curriculum in accordance with the DepEd Philippine Elementary Learning Competencies. It challenged the teachers to come up with the best curriculum from pre-school to high school. This is a proof that Bacolod Tay Tung High School is serious in giving quality education to its students. Mrs. Reina Jessa De Guzman, the new guidance counselor, had presented some facts and figures about the school. She had also given the services of the guidance office that will be offered to the students this school year.

The last day of the seminar was held in Mambucal. It was a fun-filled activty. The Kinder Department and Mr. Carpina prepared some group activities. The teachers also competed in the Amazing Race around the resort. Each group fought hard to cross the finish line first but Sir Glen's group took the first place. The awarding ceremony concluded the three-day seminar.

Indeed, it was a fresh start for everybody because the whole activity reinvigorated the tired spirits of the teachers to be ready for the new challenges this school year poses for each of them. It also helped in strengthening the camaraderie of the faculty and staff that is essential in promoting a good working environment for everyone in the Tay Tung community. The most important value which
everybody had taken from this seminar is cooperation because it Is through cooperation that greatest successes will be derived by any group or organization.
