TTHS Golden Jubille Graduates are Diamond Anniversary Silver Jubilarians
The Tay Tung High School batch of 1984 celebrates their Silver Jubilee this year during the school's Diamond Anniversary celebrations this September.
Among the members of this batch are class valedictorian Dr. Maria Teresa Dy-Villanueva who is now a pediatrician; class salutatorian Jean Lee Patindol, who is now a University of St. La Salle professor and multi-awarded children's book author; Senior Class Organization President Samson Tan, who is now a bank manager; Benjamin Gomez, owner of BCG Computers; Henry Gamboa, owner/manager of SGS Construction; and Dr. Annie Estrera-Montalbo, who is now an optometrist.
Around a third of the batch have their own businesses not only in Negros but elsewhere in the country. Among these business people are: Joel Chiu, Wilier Suaboksan, Alexander Rivera, June Mahinay, Danilo Uy, Lydia Carbaiosa, Maricor Co-Ong, Melanie Lao-Dy, Janie Li-Kameike, Jane Mahinay-Chu, Gigi Millevo, Ninfa Ong-Doctora, Elma Palaran, Peter Cabiten, Jessar Dy, Henry Gamboa, Sergio Lo, Jr., Rommel Montalbo, William Ong and Christine Genito.
Eighteen are in the health-related professions as nurses or technologists and are mostly based in the United States and the Middle East. Among them are Ermelinda Abastillas, Adin Ong, Arlene Kho-Hilado, Norma Kho, Eduardo Go, Jr., Jeanette Uy, Joyce Uy, Emit Chua, Jose Alejandro Correa, Julius Enabe, Joseph Lee, Jeffrey Magapan, Rex Palawar, Charlita Gepilango, Ruby Lotayo, Marilyn Sandoval, CorazonTeruel and Jesusabel Velasco-Danen.
Five more in the batch are also in education (Jose Laudio, Dr. Mary Jane Chio-Uy, Winston Diesto, Yolanda Alabanzas and Yulita Qui), four in banking (Meriam Lubrico Lubrico-Claridad, Grace Tan-Lopez, Ramil Cua and LiesI Gonzaga), six are in the building and design professions (Hernando Hautea, Jr., Anthony Allen Lim, Victor Qui, Henry Young, Emma Gutierrez and Julynie Jongco), one in peace and order (Rene Sandoval), while the rest are employed in different capacities in various establishments all over the country.
Johnson Ong and Nathaniel Yu are deceased.
Around 50% of the members of the batch are expected to attend and join in the Diamond Anniversary celebrations.
