English Week Celebration
Posted by: Ryan Jayson Chua 4B

Last November 24 to 28, 2008,  the Language Arts  and Social Studies Department celebrated  the English Week. This annual celebration has been a tradition of the school where talents and communication skills are pitted in all levels. For several years now, this event manifested the importance of the English language. This year’s activities were conducted in the afternoon only. On the opening day, two events were held: The Declamation and Oration contests. On the 2nd day, the lone event was the Extemporaneous Speaking Contest. On the 3rd day, two events amazed the crowd: the Two-Person Improvisation and Classical Piece Interpretation. On the 4th day, the Debate certainly kept the audience on the edge of their seats as they watch and hear with awe the intellectual battle of all year levels. The most awaited contest, the Stage Play, entertained everyone in the last day. The participants truly showcased their skills and talents. The audience, on the other hand, learned a lot from these events. This year’s English Week is one to remember for the ages; a remarkable success.
