In July 18, 2008, at around 7:30 A.M., Bacolod Tay Tung High School (BTTHS) gathered at the oval of the University of St. La Salle (USLS) for a parade headed by the CAT officers, BTTHS students, and advisers. This event is one of the few traditions of the school that is preliminary to the succeeding sports events of the intramurals.

For the first time, the school band played and conducted the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. Mr. Ian Treyes , P.E. teacher and soccer team coach, led the opening prayer and Mrs. Elvira Peñaroyo gave the opening remarks followed by the SCO president Archie Ng of 4-A for the Oath of Sportsmanship.

The Track and Field Event was held in USLS and the change of venue from the last years in PANAAD to La Salle was a new and welcomed experience although it did not allow the traditional practice of the Juniors in selling snacks for their fund raising program. After almost all the events played, the heavy rains stopped the few remaining games but the general outcome was fun and successful.
