A garbage segregation program was launched by the Bacolod City government to improve the handling system in the municipality.

Bacolod Tay Tung High School implemented this, in line with the government program. Currently, the school has two different garbage bins located around the campus. The recyclable waste bin colored yellow and the combustible waste bin colored green. Plastic cups, wrappers, paper and all materials that can be recycled are thrown into the yellow waste bin, while dry leaves, twigs, food left-over and other biodegradable wastes are placed in the green waste bin.

This is our simple way of showing our support to the local government and doing our share in saving Mother Earth.
